- How is the climate in the various seasons?

Spring and autumn

Usually there are temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees. In these seasons you can enjoy all that the island offers: sun, sea, nature and culture. Even Easter is a very nice period to visit Sicily. Sicilians often make their first bath of the year during Easter and many cities and in many countries there are processions of ancient tradition.

Summer

Temperatures above 30 degrees and possibly even 40 degrees. Despite the heat it is good in the seaside towns like Marzamemi. The great confusion is concentrated all in August. July and September are ideal months for those who appreciate the summer with the presence of other travelers without too much confusion. The summer often extends until October, often month of festivals (folk festivals with typical products) and in which you can take advantage of the warm sea temperature, thanks to the heating of the whole summer.

Winter

In Sicily, the sun is there even in winter and the sky is in the height of its blue. There are temperatures between 10-20 degrees. Indeed, during the beautiful winter days it is possible to ski in the morning, enjoying a magnificent view of the Mediterranean sea and in the same afternoon sunbathing on the beach. A spectacular feeling!

Transport

The most efficient means of public transport is the bus. All cities are connected by buses that pass frequently and are punctual and fast.

Money

The price level is a bit lower than in central or northern Italy. Restaurants and shops accept the most used credit cards. ATMs are easily found even in small countries. Banks are usually open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Post offices are open until 1:00 pm.

Water

In general, tap water is drinkable. Despite this it is advisable to buy bottled mineral water. In fact, most Sicilians do not drink from the tap.

Electricity

220-230 W. The electrical sockets normally comply with the standard.

The local population

Sicilians are often described as hospitable, friendly and curious. If you happen to stay on foot with the car, it is likely that a passerby stops to help her and, if necessary, to accompany you to your destination, and would consider an economic compensation for her help as an offense.

Shopping

Primavera ed autunno

Solitamente ci sono temperature tra 20 e 30 gradi. In queste stagioni si può godere di tutto ciò che l’isola offre: sole, mare, natura e cultura. Anche Pasqua è un periodo molto bello per visitare la Sicilia. I siciliani spesso fanno il loro primo bagno dell’anno nel periodo di Pasqua e molte città e in molti paesi ci sono processioni di antica tradizione.

Estate
Temperature al di sopra dei 30 gradi e possibilmente anche 40 gradi. Nonostante il caldo si sta bene nelle città balneari come Marzamemi. La grande confusione si concentra tutta ad agosto. Luglio e settembre sono mesi ideali per chi apprezza l’estate con la presenza di altri viaggiatori senza troppo confusione. L’estate spesso si prolunga fino ad ottobre, mese spesso delle sagre (feste popolari con prodotti tipici) e nel quale si può approfittare della temperatura calda del mare, grazie al riscaldamento di tutta l’estate.

Inverno
In Sicilia il sole c'è pure in inverno ed il cielo è nel massimo del suo blu. Ci sono temperature tra 10-20 gradi. Addirittura, durante le belle giornate d'inverno è possibile sciare di mattina, godendo un magnifico panorama sul mare mediterraneo e nello stesso pomeriggio prendere il sole in spiaggia. Una sensazione spettacolare!

Trasporto
Il mezzo di trasporto pubblico più efficiente è l’autobus. Tutte le città sono connesse con autobus che passano frequentemente e sono puntuali e veloci.

Denaro
Il livello dei prezzi è un pò più basso rispetto a quello dell’Italia centro o nord-Italia. Ristoranti e negozi accettano le carte di credito più usate. I Bancomat si trovano facilmente anche nei paesi piccoli. Le banche sono solitamente aperte da lunedì fino al venerdì dalle ore 08:30 - 13:00. Uffici postali sono aperti fino alle ore 13:00.
Acqua
In generale l'acqua del rubinetto è potabile. Nonostante ciò si consiglia di comprare acqua minerale in bottiglia. Infatti, la maggioranza dei Siciliani non beve dal rubinetto.
Elettricità
220-230 W. Le prese elettriche normalmente sono conforme lo standard.

La popolazione locale

I siciliani vengono descritti spesso come ospitali, amichevoli e curiosi. Se le capita di restare a piedi con la macchina è probabile che un passante si fermi per aiutarla e, se necessario, per accompagnarvi alla vostra destinazione, e considererebbe un compenso economico per il suo aiuto come un’offesa.
